October 1stRemembered to say white Rabbits this time, still didn't win the lottery. Ah well. Went to Kayleigh, or is it a ceiladh as part of a group organised by my boss. It was surprisingly good fun. October 3rdI might have missed out on the lottery but I find I won a bottle of Cava in a draw, it was part of the Worlds Biggest Coffee Morning for the Macmillan Cancer Nurses. Slipped out of the new office and up the road to the old place for a coffee and a cake. They raised over £220 for the charity. October 8thNice classic autumn day mist and mellow fruitfulness .... and apple picking in the beautiful Kentish countryside. Visited the aged parents and gave them a few apples. Had tea and went home... October 9thRehearsal with the band, it is starting to come together, just as well we've been offered a gig in one of the prisons... October 16thRehearsal evening ..... the gig is off, bit of a shame I was looking forward to that October 20thBoys club meeting .... half the agenda disappears because the would have been star of the show failed to turn up! Ah well it was good to catch up with Ian and some of the others. October 23rdTrying to tidy up the garden prior to going away .. still lots of tomatoes and cucumbers to finish ripening, in the end we got quite a few peppers and chilli's to grow and the salad veggies (rocket, lettuce & radishes) are still flourishing amazing really or is it global warming? Rehearsal in the evening ..... another potential gig on the horizon October 27thHome as early as possible, packing and down to Gatwick ready for an early flight to Tenerife ..... here comes the sun etc.. |
