Breakfast

Included in your holiday price is a continental breakfast served in and around the main house. Use the time to browse the local information about places to visit, discuss your plans for the day with your fellow guests or watch the world go by while enjoying your rolls and coffee or fresh fruit and tea. 

Big Table

At the centre of the social experience at the Quinta is the 'big table'. (Actually there are 2 of them, 1 indoor and 1 out). Several times a week we invite our guest to join us for supper, where we share a freshly prepared dish of the day and a selection of desserts, sitting together around the big table. Here the conversation and wine flow freely. Vegetarian and other special diets can be catered for if we are told in advance.

Food

All the meals served at the Quinta are home made, starting with the freshest possible ingredients, including everything we grow in our gardens.

Picnics

The vast majority of our guests head off after breakfast to pass the day on one of the beautiful naturist beaches along the Algarve. Sadly many of these beaches have little by way of facilities and those that do they are always textile. We find that "dressing for luncheon" is just so 1930s and shopping on the way to the beach is such a chore. To help you overcome these obstacles to a great day out try the wonderful Quinta Picnic Bag.

Freshly made up each morning they contain a selection from a range of meats, cheeses, fish, fresh fruit, bread, savoury and sweet snack items, a bottle of water and optionally sodas, cola, beer and wine all packed up in a cool bag together with plates, cutlery and drinking cups. Great value for money, just order the night before.

Please dispose of your rubbish thoughtfully, but bring the cool bag back!

Snacks

Staying around the Quinta's pool and gardens? A range of quick snacks can be rustled up from our seasonal menu. Just ask! Or you could choose to enjoy a picnic by the pool with a Quinta Picnic Bag!

Coffee and cakes

The great German tradition of "Kaffee und Kuchen," coffee (or tea) and cake, served at 4 o'clock. While it is not part of our British tradition it is something we would be happy to introduce on a week to week basis if our guests request it!

Barbeques

There are several barbeque areas in the grounds which guests are welcome to use at any time. All your barbeque needs, from the food you are cooking to the salads and even the beer for the chef, can be bought for you when ordered in advance. Charcoal and lighters are always available from stock along with the utensils, cutlery, crockery and glasses.

Wine and nibbles

After a long hard day lounging in the sun on one of the Algarve's beaches or visiting the nearby towns and villages, few things are more welcoming than the sight of a chilled bottle of wine and a few bowls of snacks on the table outside your cottage. Order your choice of wine (or other beverage), tell us at breakfast when you expect to be back at the Quinta and it will be waiting!
