It appears Steve enjoys the fresh water, he writes

Where it all really started for me was skinny-dipping and nude bathing while out in the bush, I have carried on with that at every opportunity, on my birthday we walked up to Rainbow Falls near Kerikeri and I had my birthday swim as nature intended both at the falls pool and further downriver at the double falls.
