Big sandy beach between Quarteira and Vale de Lobo, heading south from Almancil (coming the other way there is no sign post) turn left at the sign down a narrow lane, then a dusty track for a couple of miles ... There is a (rather pricey) restaurant with a car park right on the beach.

We turned left to the area backed by dunes rather than right to the cliffs ..

Big, sandy, peaceful, mainly gay but well behaved, nice atmosphere what else can I say! Good to know that there is this bit of beach tucked in between the 2 large resorts.
