There's one main
street in Skala leading down to a to steps which in turn lead
you to the long sandy/pebbly beach. To the far left of the beach
water sports can be found in summer/busier months, to the middle
the tourist gather, and to the far right, towards the
cliffs/rocks is the 'unofficial' nudist beach.

Following the beach
front road along to the end, which leads onto the beach, the
nudist area can be found about another 100 metres or so towards
the rocky area. A secluded area is to be found there, with some
nooks and crannies between the rocks for some privacy. but be
aware, there are signs stating NO NUDISM and I have heard
rumours that a couple of British tourist were arrested for
nudism last year.

In June/July and
Oct time when I was there we experience no problems. Around the
rocky area, the beach extends right the way up, and it is a good
walk. if you venture around the distant rock/cliff edge track
you can find another beach which looks out over to Katelios and
mountains.

I get the feeling we might have been
here! Mr Bun
I wondered if Skala was around the corner
at the time!
I would definitely recommend hiring a car as there is some
spectacular scenery across the island. places to visit the I
would say are a must are;-Argostli-the capital, Assos to the
north west of the island and a must for anyone - Myrtos Bay! a
very hair raising drive down the road to the beach but well
worth it! venturing back up the road, make sure to get to the
viewpoint situated above (where all the photos of Myrtos are
taken.) IT IS A MUST!!! (What
did We say?... Mr Bun)
Remember to take the camera to all of the places visited as it
is a fantastic island, beautiful scenery and some spectacular
sights!
