Katikati  Naturist Park.

By the time of our second trip to New Zealand we had realised that we enjoyed Mapua and the clothes optional experience and wanted to try out a “proper naturist site”. Katikati is New Zealand’s only naturist park and is a small but beautifully kept site just near Tauranga in North Island.

Owners Kevin and Joan are clearly passionate about the site and run it extremely well.

So Katikati became our first experience of living as naturists and was absolutely delightful, it became quite strange to have to find clothes to put on to go into town to do the shopping.

On this our latest trip we made Katikati our first stop after arriving in New Zealand and spent 5 days there just unwinding from jobs and the horrible conditions at home just before we left the UK.

On our first trip there we used one of the kitchen cabins and on return trips have both camped and used cabins.

Facilities at Katikati the site has a small swimming pool, spa pools and sauna, also kitchens for campers and a TV room.
