Finally found this beach after much searching.
Well worth the search it was too, sandy beach backed classical Algarve
Cliffs. The approach might leave you wishing you had up-graded the hire
car to the 4 wheel drive. We managed in a Polo (year 1) and a Fiesta
that grounded itself getting onto the drive way of the villa we rented
(Year 2)
Turn off the N125 at Figueira and Salema through the village then turn left
(better still the second exit Figueira Fort from the N125 take first
right). Wind along the road until you come to a small white bridge with
"Praia" painted on it ...turn left. Keep on trucking over another bridge
turn left along the flat (not uphill) avoid all the rocks holes etc
arrive in car park .... and the beach lies ahead.
While we were there over 50% of beach users were nude or had nude
partners... so possibly 35 out of 70 people overcrowding was not a
problem! No facilities to attract a crowd either...
Bun Rating 5/5 ..... if Zavial wasn't almost next door we would have
stayed put.
